Come on up to the yurt for the best backcountry classroom around! Our AIARE L1 Avalanche Courses includes 3 full days and 2 nights lodging at the yurt, all course materials, breakfasts and dinners, and transport via snowcat to the yurt.
We include 4-6 Catski Runs during the course to maximize your time learning and skiing in avalanche terrain. A great value for those wanting to get hands on experience in a true backcountry environment. We utilize the cat to maximize fun factor and get more practice with downhill travel through avy terrain but students will need skis or splitboards with touring bindings and skins. Expect to tour uphill 800-1500’ per day.
